UX Thailand — Community Brand Identity

Sparkling the new brand identity for design community

Since 2016, We were motivating the Thai design industry to get to know experience design with hopefully it will create the pulse of design impact. The vision “empower locally, recognized globally”, we upskill and inspire for the greater good of national and global design industry. Becoming the international community needs brand recognition and memorable, therefore crafting the identity and design system show up as the new challenge.

THE BEGINNING

Back in 2017, the community got a huge response and dramatically grew. We decided to take a big step by organizing a national conference which led branding becomes the priority, which is crafting  UXTH brand identity including 3 pillars events; Conference, Openspace, and Meetup.

From over 30 fine sketches from volunteers, we ended up with the modern Thai style in the logotype “UX THAILAND”(a.k.a UXTH); sharpen the edge and the depth that refers to complexity in design.

3 Pillars of Events

APPROACH

Facilitating of the workshop called ‘visual table’ to brainstorm the core concept and storytelling through emotional symbolic. Many combinations were connected, discussed, and swapped for the possibility of a storyline.

Communication Cadence

CONCEPT

Inspiring concept of 3 pillars events was influenced by the conversation vibe and how the message was delivered between speaker and participants in a different aspect, particular space, and unique interaction and atmosphere in the community.

The 3 pieces repetition of conversational signature shape, reflects the sense and interaction between key factors (people, community, and diversity of thought) that keep the discussion bounced from conflict to overlapped until conclusion for better knowledge integration like a blue frame that is intensely hotter than regular.

The conference

The international stage with a spotlight, the proud speaker shines while delivering the inspiring message to the next impact makers.

Openspace

Circle of people merge and overlap the storyline where the new knowledge/story exists inside the overlapped space of conversational circular.

Meetup

Quick as fire x cooling in a casual environment like dining. The conversation heat discussion like a blue frame in triangle shapes.
